Sivanandashram - Mahasivaratri

The Samadhi Shrine where is the body of Swami Sivananda is interred. This is truely one of the most spiritually dynamic spots in India.	The swamis and devotees of Sivanandashram gather in the Wishwanath Mandir for Mahasivaratri.	The worship of Siva begins at the first auspicious watch of the night.
The shrine after the first watch is completed.	A frail Swami Chidananda shows up unexpectedly after the third watch in the small hours of the morning.	Though ailing, Swami Chidananda is spirited in his participation in the worship of Siva on this holy night, leading the throngs of devotees in kirtan.
