Dakshineshwar Kali Temple

Just before arriving at the Dakshineshwar Kali Temple, a boat that might have been seen in ages past, passes under a modern bridge.	First sight of the Dakshineswar Temple compound.	The row of Siva temples with the Kali Temple of Ma Bhavatarini behind.

A sadhu who serves in the twelfth of the Siva temples, tying "rakis" (commemorative string bracelets) on the wrists of pilgrims who complete a visit to all the temples.	After a visit to see Ma Kali, we are invited to lunch, which is distributed to hundreds of pilgrims daily.	After returning to the Belur boat ghat when our temple visit is over, the boat passengers pose for a portrait.
