Walking Around Arunachala

The monks begin the pradakshina (circumambulation) of Arunachala.	Between the lion's paws is a stairwell that leads to a bathing ghat for a tank that fills with monsoon rains.	The peak of Arunachala is often covered with a misty cloud.	On the pradakshina road are a series of Siva temples where pilgrims pay their respects when going around the mountain.
